About Jen

Jen was born in Dallas, TX and raised near her family’s winery in the heart of DFW. Her love for all things outdoors developed early on as she learned the “in’s and out’s” of tending a vineyard. Jen’s fondest memories were the family trips out to Lamesa, TX where her dad would give her and her siblings makeshift “bows” and free reign to run around the 130+ acre vineyards until sunset.

“I think that’s really where it all began. Even now, 20+ years later, I never forgot the feeling of carrying that bow and running through the vines.”

But it wasn’t until 2016 that Jen took her first step into the world of Archery.

“Despite my love for archery as a kid I never really got into it growing up. It wasn’t until I started graduate school at SMU Cox School of Business that I woke up one Saturday and thought how great it would be to have the time to pick up an outdoor hobby. Yeah. That’s when it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was back in school and if there was ever a point in life where a person could make time…. it was now. I had no real knowledge of archery but within the hour I had jumped in my car and was sitting in an archery safety presentation at an indoor shooting facility I had found roughly 30 minutes from my apartment. Fast forward a few weeks and I had bought my own gear / was stomping around the woods at Elm Fork Range in Dallas, TX watching YouTube videos on technique and teaching myself how to shoot a bow.”
